From the Market Place

This takes place right before this: EBC: Sneaking Amist The Dark

Hazel looked around. Their raiding party had done a fabulous job of ransacking the marketplace. Human's were furious and Hazel smirked at one who slipped on the overturned lid of a pot sending him sprawling. 
Their job was just about done, Fire Empire cats were fleeing with stolen items. 
Hazel made eye contact with Veeta, the two of them having kept an eye on each other up to this point. The job was done, they had a small window of time. When she was sure no one was looking Hazel bolted around the nearest corner. Ethan would be with the other patrol, and wouldn't be looking for her till well after they all got back to camp.
Hazel paused only a moment, and right on cue Veeta came speeding around the corner, the two of them taking off together, Hazel following the caracal's lead as they bolted like ghosts for the nearest cages. 
Hazel did her best to prepare herself to NOT find Minnie that day, this was only their first day of searching after all, but still, her heartbeat raced along with their paws. One set of cages down, that much closer to finding her mother.
